ENTOMOLOGY BUILDING

FLORIDA A&M UNIVERSITY

TALLAHASSEE, FL

To address the pressing and growing needs for entomological teaching, research and continuing education, the new facility would include state-of-the-art laboratories, “smart” classrooms, conference rooms and a permanent home for the Mayfly Collection Museum. The museum houses one of the largest mayfly research collections in the world, and aquatic insect collections in the Southeast. Such a facility would focus the collective efforts of scientists, students and agricultural industry leaders to sustain a responsive, collaborative and creative learning environment. Ultimately this will help us reach the fundamental goals of our 1890s land-grant institution, the advancement of knowledge, resolution of complex issues, the empowerment of citizens and communities and to provide a student-centered environment.
