NURSING SIMULATION LAB
Florida A&M University’s renovated Nursing Simulation Center gives students more hands-on experiences and advanced research opportunities since we designed and converted an abandoned anatomy lab and typical classroom into a state-of-the-art nursing simulation laboratory.
The 3,006 square foot space features a simulation center with one long control room that looks into each simulation lab. Each simulation lab can be partitioned off by folding wall partitions to accommodate various group or individual teaching settings.
Exterior Nichiha wall panels were included for the School of Nursing Success Center and Simulation Center entrances, creating an opportunity for university branding.
With accessibility in mind, an ADA ramp was designed and constructed to provide a route from the new School of Nursing Success Center to the first level entrance of the building. In addition, stairs were added adjacent to the steep drive to provide a safer route back to campus.
