NEW K-8 SCHOOL
The new K-8 Gadsden County School is anticipated to be constructed on a portion of the existing Shanks Middle School Property. This renovation is designed to accommodate 1,646 students.
When complete, the 255,000 square foot school will host primary and intermediate classrooms, a clinic, science and skills labs, special areas for art, music, technology and STEM, exceptional student education (ESE) full time classrooms, a new mini gym and renovated existing gym, media and innovation center, cafetorium and kitchen, administration, outdoor courtyards, band room, and playgrounds.
Additionally, we are developing the school as an Enhanced Hurricane Protection Area (EHPA) structure that will provide shelter to community residents in the event of a weather emergency.
We serve as an Associate Architect on this project. Anticipated project completion is in 2026.
