HISTORY AND CULTURE TRAIL

The History and Culture Trail project honors the African American heritage of the areas surrounding Capital Cascades Trail on FAMU Way. The project reflects on the historical contributions and cultural impact of the neighborhoods, businesses and people living in the surrounding areas.

Throughout the trail, visitors will find nine artistic history monuments and public artworks from seven artists. These artists have crafted murals and sculptures to tell the story of this community’s rich history. The trail also includes a community gathering space.
